Any organization – whether it be athletic, governmental, educational, professional, religious or social – is better and stronger when its members give back of their time and talents. Over the years, I have acted upon these beliefs and demonstrated the desire, willingness, and competency for public service. Mayor Brian Krajewski appointed me to the Liquor Commission in 2002. Mayor Ron Sandack then appointed me to the Storm Water and Floodplain Oversight Committee where I continue to serve. I’ve volunteered my time and efforts to a number of other organizations in the community, and have served as the Chairman of Immanuel Lutheran Church since 2004 having served on its board of elders from 2000 through 2004. Service to community is important and service to Downers Grove holds a prominent spot in my heart.
All over this great Village citizens give of their time and talents every day. If elected, I will help guide the Village in reaching out to residents and I will create new opportunities for citizens to participate and contribute to their community. We will sharpen the focus of Downers Grove on Downers Grove and as a government, we will reach out to our citizens to capitalize on the awesome talents and passions we all share.
